    Consultant, trainer and speaker Walt Slaughter helps organizations win and keep customers in today's race for business. His first book, Minimize Mistakes Maximize Sales, was published in 1998.

    Calling upon years of experience gained in the manufacturing, transportation and service sectors, Walt has counseled people in virtually every branch of business on personal effectiveness, selling success and a range of other issues.

    Prior to launching the consulting practice that bears his name in 1980, Walt served as corporate director of public relations with the Jos. Schlitz Brewing Co. in Milwaukee. He later would head public relations for FedEx and serve on the corporate staff of Motorola, Inc., both Malcolm Baldrige Quality Award-winning firms.

    Scores of organizations and thousands of people have gained from Walt’s insights and tell-it-like-it-is keynotes and programs. He has aided thousands of other people through seminars, workshops and a special interest video ranked by Billboard magazine as the top selling title in its category.

    He is a member of Sales and Marketing Executives International, the American Society for Training and Development and the National Speakers Association. He also has served on the National Communications Advisory Committee of the United Way of America.
