When lots of folks had not even heard of "the Net," Wally Bock was doing business there. As a way to make his publishing company more effective, Wally Bock went online way back in 1982; in 1986 his company connected to the Internet and in 1987, they made their first sale of a product over the Net. That makes Wally Bock one of the pioneers both in the Internet and in e-commerce. As early as 1988, Wally Bock was giving programs and consulting in the area of new digital media and their importance for business.

Wally Bock was educated in the New York City public school system and graduated from the Bronx High School of Science. After graduation, he went into the Marines where he served from 1963 to 1968, emerging as a decorated veteran.

Wally Bock worked for a consulting firm designing training. He was the general manager of a rigging and hauling company, and was a fast-track executive at a multi-national manufacturer of industrial consumables. He found time to complete his degree at Regents College of the University of the State of New York with a double major in marketing and management science. A career change took Wally into church work and he became business manager and director of development at a Lutheran seminary. During the four years he was there, Wally Bock eliminated a deficit, improved recruiting, and brought management and development systems up to speed.

Wally Bock is the publisher of Cyberpower Alert!, an electronic newsletter about doing business online. He writes a weekly newsletter, Monday Memo, and Wally Bock's commentary, Postcards from the Digital Age, airs on public radio. He writes a regular column, "The View From Cyberspace" that appears in several print and online media, and is the author of over 1,000 articles. Wally Bock is the author of the books, Cyberpower for Business, Net Income: Cut Costs, Boost Profits and Enhance Operations Online, and Getting on the Information Superhighway.

Wally Bock's media exposure includes appearances on CNBC and CNN, in shows devoted to business. He has been interviewed by, or contributed to, articles in publications such as The Wall Street Journal, Inc., Forbes, ASAP, Sales and Marketing Management, Woman Executive, the San Francisco Chronicle, Kansas City Star, Detroit News, Miami Herald, Successful Meetings, Alternative View, NEON, the Westcott Satellite Networks, and Success, among others.

Wally Bock brings his extensive knowledge of business, the Internet, and society together to give any audience an on-target, customized program that is fully researched, and supported by handouts and a unique Program Support Site. Wally Bock's knowledge comes from three sources: he has been a successful business owner, a successful consultant, and he is a prolific author who constantly researches business, social and technology issues.
