After losing her mother at the age of eight, the loneliness she felt drove her to find refuge in food, causing her to become overweight. By the age of fifteen, she faced a new battle when she discovered that she had diabetes and would have to depend on insulin injections for the rest of her life. “All of my experiences as a youth helped me to understand that no matter what adversities you face, you can achieve your dreams,” said Maria, who is currently the spokesperson to the Latino community for the American Diabetes Association. She finds great satisfaction in educating and helped others who are diagnosed with this disease. Today, Maria Marin is an internationally known speaker. Her path started as a trainer of negotiation techniques for business executives around the world, making her the only Latina expert on this topic. She is now recognized among Latinos as the leading motivator on the topics of “Personal Growth” and “The Art of Negotiation.” Her entertaining presentations and captivating message have earned her numerous honors. This Latina’s calendar is constantly filled with the never-ending demands to share her message with businesses and women’s organizations around the world. Awards: |
