    Lisa Skriloff is the founder and president of Multicultural Marketing Resources, Inc. (MMR), established in 1994, a public relations and marketing firm representing the leading experts to Hispanics, Asian Americans, African Americans and other ethnic and lifestyle groups.

    Her company publishes Multicultural Marketing News, an award-winning, bi-monthly newsletter that provides executives with business resources and journalists with story ideas and contacts. The online newsletter, Multicultural E-Letter, offers news and information of interest to marketers targeting ethnic consumers. MMR also publishes a annual directory, The Source Book of Multicultural Experts, which lists over 150 contacts across industries. The Multicultural Marketing Resources Library and Museum, located in MMR's offices, serves as a resource center for professionals in the industry.

    Among the many awards and honors she has received; YWCA Salute to Women Achievers; Working Woman Magazine's award for Innovation in Entrepreneurship, PRSA award for Best Newsletter and PRWeeks' Solo Practitioner of the Year (1999) in Public Relations.

    During two years in Spain, she was Ad Sales Director and wrote for an English language city publication in Madrid. She started her career as a Bilingual Elementary School Teacher in Madison, Wisconsin. Ms. Skriloff has been a guest speaker and moderated panels on Ethnic Marketing at the Direct Marketing Association Emerging Markets Conference; the Health & Beauty Association Global Expo; and the Institute for International Research's conferences on Marketing to Multicultural Markets.

    She teaches "Public Relations" and "Marketing for Small Businesses" at courses given by New York University's Urban Business Assistance Center as well as for the organizations, Asian Women in Business and AWED, (American Women's Economic Development). Her class, "How to Establish Yourself as an Expert," is offered quarterly by The Seminar Center in New York City.

    She has been quoted in and published articles in a wide range of consumer and trade publications on multicultural marketing, (Brandweek, Urban Call, USA Today,) about minority and women owned businesses and regarding travel experiences in 60 countries.

    Multicultural Marketing Resources, Inc. has been profiled in Working Woman magazine, among others.

    Prior to strating her business in 1994, she had a 10-year career at The New York Times, where she held a number of director level positions in Promotion, Marketing, Advertising, Circulation and Special Projects departments. She oversaw the development of special sections for the Hispanic market among other advertorials and was responsible for numerous merchandising programs, sales promotions and product introductions. As Director of Consumer Promotion, she managed the $13 million dollar advertising campaign and earned an Effie for her work on the advertising campaign to launch the National Edition of The Times. She was appointed by the publisher to serve on the newspaper's diversity committee.

    Lisa Skriloff has lived in Spain, Mexico, Germany and England. Board memberships include the Wisconsin Alumni Association, Big Apple Badgers and the Publicity Club of New York. Lisa Skriloff is the co-author of the book, "Men Are From Cyberspace, The Single Woman's Guide to Flirting, Dating and Finding Love Online", published by St. Martin's Press.
