Larry Johnson received the City of Phoenix Award of Excellence for the city's team-based quality improvement program, a program then featured in a PBS-TV documentary by Tom Peters titled, Promoting the Common Good--Excellence in the Public Sector. Larry Johnson holds a Bachelor of Arts in Education from Arizona State University and a Masters of Education in Counseling Psychology from Northern Arizona University.
