    Kurt Kilpatrick has owned and operated a successful advertising agency, a creative services business, and currently runs his professional speaking and creative services business from his home base in Birmingham, Alabama. He has been a professional humorist and speaker for more than 25 years.

    As a humorist, Kurt Kilpatrick has spoken to thousands of groups at conventions and corporate gatherings all across the United States, as well as Mexico, Canada, Puerto Rico, and the Caribbean. Kurt Kilpatrick has recorded three comedy albums and is featured as one of the top humorists on The Executive Treasury of Humor, a cassette album marketed worldwide by the Nightingale-Conant Corporation in Chicago. In addition to writing humor for a variety of entertainers, speakers, and comedy services from coast to coast, he writes and performs humor on his daily morning radio show in Birmingham, Alabama known as The Burt and Kurt Show. He also produces scores of voice tracks for commercials using his repertoire of voices and characterizations.

    The Burt and Kurt Show has delighted radio listeners with wit, wisdom, and humor for over a decade and a half. Co-host Bob Burton and Kurt Kilpatrick received a Certificate of Commendation from Alabama's Governor for, "Having an irrepressible spirit and a dynamic energy in the promotion of good, clean humor on the radio." The Mayor of Birmingham also gave Burt and Kurt a proclamation from the city.

    In 1984, the National Speakers Association (NSA) awarded Kurt Kilpatrick the Certified Speaking Professional (CSP) designation. In 1989, the National Speakers Association awarded Kurt Kilpatrick the Council of Peers Award of Excellence (CPAE) considered the Speakers Hall of Fame. Kurt Kilpatrick has been a featured speaker and teacher at numerous NSA workshops and National Conventions in Atlanta, New Orleans, Nashville, San Francisco, Phoenix, Washington D.C., Los Angeles, Palm Springs and Dallas, Texas.

    As a nationally recognized professional speaker, Kurt Kilpatrick enjoys having the opportunity to touch others with the gift of humor. He uses humor to help people relieve the stress and strain of life and believes people can learn to cope with and deal with frustration, anger, fear, and disappointment if they will learn to laugh. While Kurt Kilpatrick can have an audience laughing until their sides ache, he can also skillfully convey a message of good sound advice for effective living. A favorite quote from Will Rogers has become Kurt Kilpatrick's by-line, "We're only on this earth for a short time, so for heaven's sake, have a few laughs and don't take things so seriously, especially yourselves."

    Through his Creative Services Company, Kurt Kilpatrick provides humorous-motivational programs for Fortune 500 companies, national and regional associations and other groups. He conducts seminars and workshops on communications, creativity, customer service and leadership, as well as programs on how to use humor in business to maximize productivity in leadership, business and sales.

    Kurt Kilpatrick received his Doctor of Jurisprudence, cum laude, from Jackson School of Law at Mississippi College, his Bachelor of Science, Communications-Journalism, from the University of Southern Mississippi, and his Associate Arts Degree, Speech, from Hinds Junior College.
