J.D. Frailey's corporate experience includes nearly twenty years as an innovator with Southwestern Bell Corporation. His assignments included leadership development, marketing and strategic planning, and the line management of both customer service and sales in Missouri and Oklahoma. As an internal consultant he initiated and managed numerous studies resulting in fundamental changes in the company's approach to sales, collections, and customer service. After leaving SBC in 1993, J.D. served as president of Columbia Creek Publishing and Productivity Innovations, both St. Louis-based firms. He found deep inspiration and a "workable, practical approach to creating a more fulfilling, effective, and balanced life" in the teachings of Dr. Stephen R. Covey. "When I attended The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People," J.D. said, "I knew then I wanted to contribute to this work. I'm thrilled to be part of the Franklin Covey organization." It was through the discipline of marathon running that J.D. discovered his personal missionųto help individuals and organizations see they can accomplish any worthwhile goal through honoring and applying correct principles, and through the willingness to identify and complete the steps that will naturally result in the goal's accomplishment. J.D. is also co-author of the 1993 book, In the Spirit of Service. He is on schedule to complete a 26.2 mile marathon in all 50 U.S. states by the year 2001. He and his family make their home near St. Louis, Missouri. |
