Now the formerly shy, tongue-tied "enginerd" is a nationally recognized keynote speaker, trainer and author. A former engineer Debra Fine established her Denver based company The FINE Art of Small Talk to teach all variety of professional and the spouse who is dragged along conversational skills for use at networking events, business conventions, trade shows, and with clients, customers and patients Fine studied the art of conversation as diligently as she had once studied engineering. A member of the National Speakers Association and the Colorado Chapter of the National Speakers Association, Fine receives high accolades from her clients, which include Cisco Systems, Wells Fargo Bank, Vail Associates, The US Treasury Department, Toyota, Lockheed Martin, and hundreds of associations including insurance, real estate, legal, financial, engineering, health care, and chambers of commerce and civic organizations across the country Debra is Debra is also a member of Rotary International and has served on the board of her club during her membership over the past 12+ years In addition she is a past member of the Advisory Council of the University Of Colorado School Of Engineering and currently sits on the Communities Advisory Council of the Junior League. Debra authored the book The Fine Art of Small Talk (Hyperion October 2005) and her compact disc of the same title is a best seller at Kinko’s and Franklin Covey stores across the United States Her recent media appearances include CNN FN and Bloomberg News. |
