Carlos was born in San Jose, Costa Rica, and immigrated to the United States at the age of six. He graduated with a degree in Business Administration/Marketing in 1979 from Pepperdine University in Malibu, California.

Most recently he spent over 10 years as a Product Manager and Sales Manager in the health insurance industry, where he parlayed his knowledge of demographics and marketing information into record-setting production. Mr. Conejo is now President of Multicultural Associates, a firm specializing in bilingual employee training & development.
