Village Music Circles™ creates an uplifting activity where anyone can participate at any musical skill level. The steps involved in successfully playing music together as a corporate group create powerful synergy and enhanced camaraderie among the participants. As the team begins to play music together individuals develop a common language and exercise the communication skills inherent to a Village Music Circles rhythm event. A Village Music Circles™ Rhythm Event Will:
- Teach team building in a new unique way
- Stimulate creative thought processes
- Promote cooperation versus competition
- Demonstrate individual effect on the larger whole
- Encourage clear communication
- Develop listening and expressing skills
- Inspire community involvement
- Define common ground between participants
- Activate playful stress reduction
“All of you are the Village!”
The interaction and cooperation that unite a village into a successful social and economic entity translates into metaphors that apply to the corporate community. Through creative play participants are removed from the business environment and co-create a fun and joyful musical village, deepening their community ties in the process. In a one hour program this hands-on, interactive experience can achieve a team dynamic that participants will then carry back to their everyday work environment and talk about for weeks to come.
